Sun, Sea, Sand And Sweating… How To Have A Healthy Summer!
Drink Loads of Water
It’s really easy to forget to drink plenty of H2O, but it’s absolutely essential for your wellbeing. Aim for two litres a day, and keep it fresh by adding ice and a slice of lemon or lime. Drinking hot water is really good for you too, and anything else such as fruit juice or green tea will add to your intake. Water cools, refreshes and rejuvenates so always make sure you are properly hydrated – it is the single most important thing you can do to look after yourself.
Be Inspired
It’s amazing how inspired we can get when we watch other people looking after themselves. Talk to your friends who exercise regularly and ask them how they motivate themselves, how they plan their exercise and what they enjoy about it. Read a health and beauty magazine to get top tips on fitness. Getting inspired really helps to focus your mind, and we all need a little help in that department every now and again, and inspiration always leads to motivation.
Run!
Running is one of the best exercises there is, so get your trainers on and get out there! If you don’t fancy going outdoors for a run then get hold of a treadmill – then you can stick the television on, and exercise in the comfort of your own home. Even a trip to the gym can feel like a lot of effort these days, but if you have the equipment in your house it’s far easier to get started. You can get all sorts of different treadmills these days, from ones with desks attached to portable and folding ones. You really have no excuse not to use one now!
Explore Nature
Getting out and about in the fresh air is great for your body, soul and mind. Being at one with nature is inspiring, and it helps you think about things and see them from different perspectives. Watch how animals and birds live and interact. You will be so busy soaking up all the wonderful things the world has to offer that you’ll totally forget to notice that you’ve walked for miles and mile!
Make positive changes to your life every day to reap the benefits. Form training plans, meet up with family and friends for strolls, improve your diet, and plan meals to really get the best out of life. The more you look after yourself and nurture your mind and your body, the more you will get out of life. And there’s no time like the present!
